COVER STORY

What do u think is the most major step an organisation is taking....to fight the "HEADWINDS" i.e. jargon for "RECESSION"?

Before answering this question.....i want you to think that....Due to so much downfall how are the company's able to balance their infrastructure.....as companies are not getting any projects....than how do they manage their such big infrastructure...??

The one aspect is by cutting out people from the company....and the other is..by reducing there OPERATIONAL COST......

This is the most important step a company is takin to fight the recession....

Organization today are pressurising their IT department to give more solutions that how a company can reduce its operational cost....Some of the big solutions which are coming in IT
department mind are Video conferencing,VOIP, and different types of collaborative applications.
The Companys are focusing more on their WAN infrastructure now....as it is not surprising to know that travel and communication form a significant portion of every organization's budget.Hence, seeing to this perspective every CIO is now adding WAN optimisation and management to fight the slowdown.

Seeing another aspect....of the Green World

As now a days when you go to a computer shop what do you think before buying notebook or a PC for yourself that you get the highest configuration in a lesser cost....But what if you don't need so much higher configuration notebook or PC to do the work....Now a Days companys are using atom PC's example saleron....well that sound surprising....But this reduce their power consumption cost....the company's are giving their employees only that much configuration PC's which they require to do the amount of work given to them....Well think Practically....More the configuration of PC more will be the power consumption....now if you consider a processor higer is its frequency...more power it consumes....now in case of 200 PC's present in an organisation....the company can save great amount of power which could reduce its operational cost.

Hence the Best Step the companys are taking to fight the slowdown is to reduce their operational cost
